Working in the Forensic Art world can be wonderful, challenging, exciting, emotional, fulfilling, and yes, frustrating at times. Artists must put aside their egos and become a Chameleon of sorts. If you come as a law enforcement background, you must adjust your interview techniques from the old just-the-facts information gathering technique to allowing the victim or witness a free-flow of the information they have in their mind. The artist must find common ground with the person interviewed. I interviewed witnesses ranging from a child of 8 years to an 85-year-old great grandmother; from a timid and shy individual to a big burly biker. We must adjust to the situation provided to us.

This Website will provide an overall look at the world of Forensic Art and allow the viewer to a better understanding of what the Forensic Artist is all about. Check out the Tips and Tutorials page providing links to documents that may be of use to the new, as well as the practicing Forensic Artist. I will update the content often, so check back on a regular basis.
